Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Expansion

Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital is proud to announce the expansion of its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to meet the growing health care needs of the community. Blood Management Awareness Week will be held November 5 - 9 to educate patients and health care professionals about blood management and blood issues. Nearly 5 million Americans receive blood transfusions every year to treat a wide variety of medical conditions. Efficient blood management can help preserve blood inventory, which in the 24-county Texas Gulf Coast region requires more than 800 units of blood daily to support patients.
