Cy-Fair Hospital Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital is pleased to announce Jay Krishnaswamy has joined the hospital as chief operating officer.  In this position, Krishnaswamy assumes responsibility for the hospital’s ancillary operations, including cardiopulmonary, imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, plant operations, environmental services, food and nutrition services, and the volunteer chaplaincy program. 

“We are proud to have Jay Krishnaswamy join Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital,” says Terry Wheeler, chief executive officer at the hospital in northwest Houston. “His background in health care quality and proven leadership skills will be valuable assets to our organization.”

Before joining Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital, Krishnaswamy served as associate administrator for Doctors Hospital of Modesto, a 398-bed multi-specialty Tenet hospital in Modesto, California, overseeing service lines of emergency, trauma, cardiology, oncology, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory and therapy services. He also served as director of clinical quality improvement for the hospital.

Krishnaswamy holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Madras in Chennai, India. He received a Master of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio and a Master degree in Health Services Research from Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio.
