The Clinic, which is staffed by a Board Certified Occupational Medicine Physician and an experienced bilingual nursing and support staff, can provide a broad range of pre-employment screening services, quickly treat workplace injuries, and offer high quality post-injury care. Physical exams for pre-employment, Department of Transportation (DOT), and return to duty are offered, as well as drug and alcohol testing for pre-employment, rapid testing, random, and DOT. Additional services available at the Clinic include pulmonary function testing, audiology exams, and independent medical exams.
“Services are tailored to meet the needs of each company and individual employees,” says Rosalyn Beaty, MD, occupational medicine specialist at Cypress Fairbanks Occupational Medicine Clinic. “We help businesses treat their employees properly and keep key company personnel informed about treatment. Our goal is to help employees return to work as soon as it is medically appropriate, and work with them to help prevent re-injury.”
Specialty services available at the Clinic range from DOT examinations for trucking and transportation professionals, to Federal Aviation Administration physicals. Employers also may receive important information from the Clinic about pending changes in the Texas Workers’ Compensation system.
“As one of the largest employers in the area, Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center understands how important it is for companies to protect the health, safety, and well-being of their employees,” adds Dr. Beaty. “That is why we focus on helping companies minimize accidents and illnesses in order to maximize efficiency and productivity.”
The Clinic also offers on-line record access, on-site X-ray and laboratory, and worksite safety analysis services. When necessary, physical therapy, advanced diagnostic testing, and hospitalization are available at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital. 24 Hour Occupational injury treatment services are also available through the hospital’s Emergency Department, while Cypress Fairbanks Urgent Care Center remains open 7 days a week, from 12 noon to 9 p.m. For more information about the Cypress Fairbanks Occupational Medicine Program, call 281-463-9696 or visit www.CyFairOccMed.com.
