Your Hospital Team

The Medical Staff
The physician who admits you is responsible for directing your care while you are in the hospital. Your physician, as the coordinator for your treatment program, should be consulted if you have questions about your illness.

The Nursing Staff
Twenty-four hour nursing care is provided by a team of professional registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses and nurse assistants. A nurse manager is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care on each unit. Please feel free to contact your nurse or the nurse manager if you have questions or concerns.

Pastoral Services
Clergymen of all denominations are welcome at any time. If you need assistance in locating a chaplain of any denomination, please ask your nurse for assistance. The hospital’s chapel is located adjacent to the main elevator on the first floor.

Registered dietitians are available to meet your dietary needs during your stay. Your nurse can help you contact the dietitian if you have questions about your meals or diet.

Your room is cleaned daily by a member of the housekeeping staff. If there is a housekeeping problem in your room, please call extension 3387, and it will be taken care of as soon as possible.

We have a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers who use their time and talent to help the professional staff. They help provide special care and attention for patients and their families. Our volunteers are here for you, so if you are having a quiet day and would enjoy the company of a special volunteer visit, please call extension 3186 and request a visit. For more information about our volunteer program, please call (281) 897-3186.

Other Personnel
During your stay many other healthcare professionals, including personnel from pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, respiratory care, and physical or occupational therapy may visit you. In addition, the Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital family includes many behind-the-scenes workers, such as accountants, engineers, secretaries, food service workers and others who contribute greatly toward your well-being while you are here.
