Financial Assistance Program
Helping Those in Need
As part of our commitment to serve our community and help people receive needed medical care, Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center provides alternate funding and payment plan options for qualified individuals. Our hospital staff will work to identify the financial assistance options available to you based on government and hospital rules and regulations. Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center offers the following medical aid programs for financing hospital bills.
Medical Eligibility Program (MEP)
Provided at no cost, we help you see if you qualify for government programs that will help to pay for all or part of your hospital and medical expenses. If you’re under 21 or over 65 years old, have children in the household, are pregnant, potentially disabled or have been a victim of crime, you may qualify. Our patient advocates can also assist you in the application process.
Government programs you may qualify for:
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
- Social Security Disability
- Supplemental Security Income
- County Indigent
- Victims of a Violent Crime Fund
Charity Care Program-Financial Assistance
If you don’t have the means to pay for hospital expenses and don’t qualify for government programs, you may qualify for financial assistance. If your household income is below 200 percent of the federal poverty limit, you may be able to receive help. To be considered for the Charity Care Program, you must provide information on household finances through a confidential Financial Application and give documentation to verify your circumstances. Please contact the Financial Assistance Center at (888) 233-7868, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (PST) for additional information.
Uninsured Discount Program
Uninsured patients are eligible for our Compact with Uninsured discounts. Our hospital Patient Advocates will assist you with understanding the rules of eligibility for the Uninsured Discount Program.
